Your post got me to thinking about yesterday’s DOD article Pieces secret weapon. It’s an awesome read mostly with Bob Pierces comments. He said the team is Bobby’s and he don’t get paid a dime. He said he owns the trailer & Bobby will purchase it at the end of the year. Bob said in 3 years he is done. But Mark Richards promised Bob at I-80 he wanted Bobby in a Rocket Chasis for years to come & would take care of him. Let’s just hope it’s not the way Lance Landers is taking care of Jared !

Foxfire that's a fair statement I respect your opinion. But just like anything there are two sides, I don't live or thrive on anything look back through the years most of my posts are responding and reacting to unnecessary jabs thrown at Pierce. You talk about millineals (which I am not), these are 50+year old men bashing a kid that's barely old enough to drink. They just aren't fans of his which is fine but don't blame it on his fans, that's just you guys excuse, because what he does in a race car, how is it not exciting and not to like, you guys just don't want to be looked at as jealous and envious, and bitter hateful people so you use his fans as a cop out...end of story...

Thanks for respecting my opinion.....but as I said before in my BBQ voice.....we agree with everything you say about him being exciting to watch and what he brings to the track.

But when you set yourself up saying things like ...." He clears them 99% of the time" , "he's always the fastest out there"....." Everybody always steals his line , rolling roadblock" etc. then your opinion is going to be met with opinions that are actually correct.

Would be like a raving democrat saying pelosi gets it right 99% of the time.......they may be passionate, they may be loyal, they may be all in , but just like you are ....they are wrong.

And btw.....I couldn't hold a candle to foxfire as far as racing experience or knowledge or blackie with his humor.......we all three are not same person....sorry.

Jimmy & his brother Kurt (also a racer) as kids grew up very close to nascar raced LD Ottinger. That’s how they got involved in racing. Both are just good down home country boys- & that’s great!

He races in the 4 cylinder & street stocks locally around Wast Tennessee. Tazewell, Volunteer & ect. Haven’t seen him a lot this year tho. His 4 cylinder is the green #- 7-up car. Notorious for starting in the back & winning. I am not sure on this but I think Curt is the older & started racing locally before Jimmy. As I said earlier- they were very close neighbors to L D Ottinger when they were growing up as kids. They hung around his shop -helped him as they got older- then the racing bug bit them too. Kurt raced super stocks for years which was the next division down from late models. At that time there wasn’t crates, limited late models, steel heads and such.

Another LD Ottinger story: Doug Randolph whose dad was a dentist, starting hanging out at LD’s shop as a high school kid. He became a sheet metal fabricator-didn’t want to go to college & has been a successful NASCAR crew chief for years.
