Has anything officially been announced on Huddy going to SSI or is just you guys stirring the pot?
A team owner has the option of choosing his driver, crew, engine, Chasis, and races to participate in since he is the one paying the bills. It just might upset many fans what he chooses to do. It’s the same privilege we each have when buying our personal vehicles- we buy what we choose- not what the guy down the street wants us to have!

Sort of like Childress dumping Earnhardt in his prime. Dumb is the only word that comes to mind.

I suppose, if winning races is your only measuring stick. I can think of several things in life that hold more value, especially to a guy in Todd's position.

What? He owns a race team for Christ's sake. Racing is a contest and the objective is to WIN!!!
If he is in it to make friends maybe he can join some of those WOKE people hanging around places far from the racetrack.

Well apparently winning at all cost wasn't worth it to Todd. If your winning but, you're miserable being around the driver is that worth it. I have no clue as to what happened nor is it any of my business as to why they split. I'm more interested in what will happen for both of them going forward. Things haven't worked out for Hudson so far. Things haven't worked out for T-mac so far as well. Even with Sheppard leaving the Rocket1 house car things haven't gone as good as planned.

What rides has he been through?? I remember him being in his own mod for YEARS until he got the ride with Gressel Motorsports on the USMTS tour. When he left there he went back to his own mod. Did a few races for Todd Cooney at Boone in a late model for the IMCA Super Nats and ran that #33 a handful of times at Eldora and around AZ all while running his own mod until he subbed for Hud at SSI leading him to eventually get hired there.

This could lead to more racers wanting to have there own sh*t and do what THEY want not what an owner wants. You don't think shepherd gave up rocket because of competing. No B Shepp wanted more say so and richards wasn't or isn't about to give that up. Sounds like oneal up to his neck in this deal, sounds like a little collusion going on. Did O'Neal cut Thorntons throat behind the scenes, rumor mill has Huddy already strapped ino SSI ride.
the cost of racing today is what led to drivers driving for other people with plenty of money instead of funding there own car , there is very , very few drivers out there that could afford to fund there own team in todays world and still be competitive and make a living , about the same thing that has happened to nascrap .....

^ And back in the day many of those teams started merging to form "super teams".

Are we seeing the same thing with dirt SLM teams?

                          Sheppard/Riggs........Burns/O'Neal????

And yet some are big mad if you supplement your income by creating content for a YouTube channel. Or accept a better sponsor.

MUST WIN 100% OF THE TIME AGAINST THE BEST COMPETITION OR YOU AREN'T SERIOUS!

It looks more like stitching multiple teams together to afford to keep 1 on the national tour to me. Mergers for survival.

You're really not that dumb are you? my comment had zero to do with 'woke' anything. My comment meant, maybe there was issues between Ricky and a family member, or another worker, etc. Not saying there was or that it would have to be of Rickys doings. If there are problems, you have to address them and winning races don't fix things like that. I can assure you without even knowing Todd Burns, he doesn't need that racecar to feed his family or live his life. Use that grey matter between your ears. Something had to have happened to cause this.
