    Bloomer

For me it just feels like Dirt Late Model will never be the same. Such a character on and off the track.

I felt like he was already gone for a while since he missed so much time because of his motorcycle accident and other injuries. Maybe that's just me.

I feel the same way. No other driver “moved the needle” like he did. He brought so much to racing…..he had a dynamic presence AND he was the GOAT on the track. Very rare for one man to do both. His exit from the seat of a race car was inevitable, but it sure would be nice to still have him involved in racing in some capacity. He was IMO the only person involved in DLM racing who was totally irreplaceable. The mold was either broken or lost to aliens after he was made.

If I was at a race that sucked I could still check on what the zero was doing somewhere in the field... hard to want to go back to eldora knowing he won't be there.

I was digging around couple days ago about the plane crash. No real new info. NTSB? Has it now. But considering our new administration is gonna shut everything down, probably never get report released.

Yep. I feel the same. I used to be a big NASCAR fan, and this feels just like when we lost Earnhardt. Racing will never be quite the same again. I feel lucky that I got to watch him for so many decades though.

OK? Wasn't sure there was going to be any investigation. So went looking. 90% of those around him know what the results will be. Will just be a confirmation. And yet some will still be in complete denial.

Are you able to expand on that at all, or is what everyone's thinking actually what happened? I understand if you do not wish to expand, I'm just hoping that what I'm thinking isn't the truth and it was some kind of freak accident. That in itself would be sad enough, but it's hard to conceive the other scenario.

Out of respect to the family- I will not expand.
Go ahead and accept the other scenario you speak off- sorry!

Completely understand and thank you, and I have the utmost respect for you respecting the family. Like many, I had noticed that any new news or updates had been totally silent pretty much since it happened, so that kind of said what no one wanted to say or confirm. None of us know what others are dealing with and things aren't always what they seem. We should all take note and be a little more respectful, including myself.

I miss this man so much it hurts every time I think of him. Very special race car driver for me. Almost, just almost the same as Earnhardt. Please show some respect and not speculate until the official report comes out and then still show some respect. This man deserves it.
