I’ll try, Montpelier Speedway, Wednesday July 7th. 4 Classes and the shows are run efficiently.

The way some tracks run their shows I know going into the night I will be watching the race on replay the next day.

If you're talking about Sycamore, around 9:40 ish. I live 5 mi from there and was home by 10:00.

Presume you are talking about Fairbury. Late models were done around 11:45 central. Still had mod & street stock features to run. At least it was a Saturday. And in their defense, they had close to 150 cars between the 3 classes. 58 LM & 51 mods. Also the track had extra moisture in it from the Friday rain so they had to have a couple track work breaks during the night.

One thing is for sure, as for the Summer Nationals, Peoria and Sycamore have definitely set the bar high! Both done with late models (the main draw) before 10 pm.This was one reason I quit going to Summer Nationals back in 2011. I am old and I get bored watching hornets and street stocks, etc. and support classes when I paid the extra money for the 'big dogs'
Of course, what do I know, my next race in July will finish out my 70th season of racing!

If you don’t own a race track, you can’t possibly know anything.

I know I am smart enough to have avoided being 'too' involved, lol Yes, I realize all the reasons they do this, mostly all comes down to $$$$
If they really really wanted to support the other classes, give a couple of them the night off, and make up for it the previous or following race
with a 'double purse' without doubling up on pit passes. I have seen it work.

I was asking about Fairbury, I was just curious . Good on Sycamore for getting the fans out at a respectable time. Do they run the UTV class regularly?

Those support class heats took forever tonight.

Just occasionally the UTV stuff comes around. I would have much rather seen the vintage cars that they have ran in the past with the summer nationals, but it is what it is

Dod did a small piece on post midnight features and to many classes. Maybe someone will listen.
