I do not agree, but we do not have to. Having a few races count more than others is not a way to determine a SEASON CHAMPION, IMO.

Actually we do agree. My point is that it is their money and the series wishes to keep it, not if it truly determines the season champion. I do appreciate BRS stepping up with the dough, did not say it is the way I would like it but it is theirs to spend as they see fit. There are constructive ways to change things, people calling them dumb, stupid, etc. just makes them dig in harder and feel no one appreciates what they are doing. I agree with the sentiment that the current format does not determine the season champion (as NASCAR's does not either) and puts to much emphasis on one race.

im sure it will be the flo series in a year or 2 unfortunately anyways. Id really like to see the outlaws pull a couple drivers off lucas but between BRS and sunoco i doubt they will allow that to happen

Lucas has 11 races paying $50,000+ to win, WoO has 5. I don't see the top tier Lucas teams ever changing until/unless WoO could start getting some Lucas races to shift sanctioning. But not sure that is possible to do without having a better group of drivers to court with. There is too much money to race for with Lucas that the trade off is they have to deal with the points system. B & C level teams will continue to jump sanctioning back and forth.

to me the playoff deal cheapens the definition of being a champion.

if a driver has a problem at the finale he could easily lose the championship, it shouldn’t be that way.

back when Lucas Oil sponsored a wide variety of racing series, I’d go out of my way to purchase their product and support them, but not any more.

You can be upset with the series, Lucas Oil, or other sponsors, but these teams race for money. And thanks to the format change and influx of money, the teams are benefitting from it. From 2022 to 2025 nearly every position in the point standings has doubled (some tripled) in point fund money.

2022 point fund, year before the Chase format:
                $500k point fund
                1. $150,000
                2. $75,000

A quick check shows the World of Outlaws with a very similar increase to the points fund but without a chase gimmick.

Yeah, they raised the chase participant totals so when you got cheated out of the championship, you didn't lose as much money.

No the justification was comparing what he got to the old format $150k to the winner. So you broke even, or lost 25-50k

So, if one's body of work during a season is discounted, the championship trophy is tarnished before it is awarded!
