Congrats to another paper champ. RTJ should have three LOLM titles in a row.

LOLM also deleted the points stats that used to accompany individual events. I wanted to see if Shep would have finished fourth in points over O'Neal since he placed better the last four races.

He keeps signing up for it though. They'll keep using a gimmick format as long as the drivers keep participating.

They sign up for the money, not the format.

The YTD earnings posted on the Lucas site after the DTWC says RTJ earned $565,600 from the series, Davenport $477,100, O'Neal $366,300 and Moran (Champion) $353,649. Yes folks, the 2025 points champion made less than three other drivers on tour.

Yea I know that's the reason they give, but I believe Pierce has won the most every year since Davenports 2 million dollar season

According to Google, he is at $524,608 in prize money from WINS alone so far in 2025 (that was the total after the north/south).

Points are consistent from race to race, purses are not. Purses tend to be top heavy, especially for bigger events. A “checkers or wreckers” racer who wins a lot may take home more in earnings than a driver who just runs consistently in the top 5, but the top 5 driver doesn’t take the big hits in points with poor finishes when they don’t win.

                    Points money will change that
