We should be grateful that a guy has so many options to race on a given weekend. And who are we criticize how they decide to race.

The options are plentiful nowadays at least around the Midwest. We should all be thankful for that. Not everyone has that luxury.

As far as Moyer, enjoy watching him now. The end is near sadly to say.

He was running for 2 races that paid 5k each. Which probably made him more money(not counting if there was appearance fee), than if he would've went to N/S.

He was in West Liberty racing for 10k.....where were the rest of the heavy hitters?

So much hate from some people on here for moyer.. i could careless who he beat back then or count back then or now. The man has do more in dlm then just about anyone. I could care less he didnt go to n/s get his 800th win. I like how he dont follow lucas and WoO tour the whole season. Fans dont have wait for on them tours come to there track to see billy. I hope he just runs local shows next year and put 60 more wins up just so yall can whine.

Moyer's win record is remarkable. He has won at every level. The only people who question his achievements are posters who have never achieved anything in racing. Arm chair crew chiefs are a dime a dozen.

That's only averaging a little over 21 races won per year since 1977..........and let's be real, many of Billy's wins have come against less than stellar fields at less than stellar facilities.......especially early on.


Guy is a legend no doubt...........but let's not go into this conversation totally blind to the facts.

Just wanted to remind what my original post was on the subject............first sentence clearly said tongue and cheek( I mean , who averages 21 race wins per year for 37 years)the rest I'm having a hard time finding where I questioned his legendary status.

Other than to imply that many ( a general term)of his wins have come against less than stellar fields......which if any of you would take the time to look at isn't really that far of a stretch.

I didnt realize when Moyer Cherry Picked (as Okfine says ) around the house that Bill Frye , Wendell Wallace , Larry and Terry Phillips just to name a few were slugs. I call these guys pretty tough also. Billy IS one of the two best Dirt Late Model drivers of all time . Congatulations on a excellent career

I didnt realize when Moyer Cherry Picked (as Okfine says ) around the house that Bill Frye , Wendell Wallace , Larry and Terry Phillips just to name a few were slugs. I call these guys pretty tough also. Billy IS one of the two best Dirt Late Model drivers of all time . Congatulations on a excellent career

But once again y'all are missing Okfines point....... He has never once said that Billy Moyer wasn't good!! He has never once said Moyer wasn't a legend!! And like I said before what he has said is that the competition now days is stacked much tougher and deeper than back when Billy was younger......

Hmm, I am not impressed with some of you gentlemen here. I get that some of you are die hard Bloomquist fans and that is ok. But if you think Moyer has not raced enough against the so called big boys is laughable. I get he wasn't at Florance and some of you are butthurt about it. But if you look at Florance payout it does not pay very well, second place only gets 10,000 bucks. I think 3rd gets 7,000. He can race closer to home for second and third place and does not have to drive crap load of miles. To me that is a smart business decision. He has probably put on more miles then anyone in the history of late model racing. Also wanted to say he goes to East Bay every year and leads the deal with the most wins with 26. Bloomer has 6. East bay probably has the most competition anywhere because there is no other racing going on. Also the Volusia Winternationals Moyer also leads that with 19 and Bloomer has 10. I like both Moyer and Bloomer and I am glad I got to see them race a bunch together!

I understand what he been saying, but can he show us the field of cars back then? No, just like no one can show every race he won back then was all top drivers. You cant do it with scott and show he raced against the best every wkend is he started off.
