3 Areas To Improve the World of Outlaws

I got a survey from WoO and they asked me to tell them three areas I thought they could improve. Attached is a screen cap of my answers.

What would you guys recommend to WoO?

Bah...looks like my attachment did work. I said "Increase purses for DLM events to attract better drivers. Stop favoring Kid Wreckit and suspending drivers for punching him out when they retaliate against Josh's reckless driving and rehire Ben Shelton."

1- Get rid of Mark Richards 2- Get rid of Mark Richards 3- Get rid of the favoritism of MARK RICHARDSIf his poor little boy gets passed or loses a race Mark goes and cries a river to the officials until he gets his way. This has clearly driven drivers away from the series. The World of Outlaws is the laughing stock of late model racing. They have no true competition it's Clanton/Richards. The officials don't run the World Of Outlaws, Mark Richards does! Not to mention they drag the teams across the country with no consistency, unlike the Lucas series does with consistency of location. I mean I could go on and on about the problems that series has. Bottom line is I give it 1-2 more years before the series tanks. They have no corporate backing like the Lucas series does, and no true competition like Lucas.

my biggest complaint is the absurd amount of travel during the season, second would be their inability to schedule shows each weekend within close proximity of each other, and third, woo regulars are a very weak bunch compared to lucas.

Will there even be 8 followers on the WoO tour this year?

I would suspect they will wind up with as many as they give show up money to.

I agree. guys like satterlee could potentially win a bunch of 10k shows if he would choose to follow the series, and I'm not saying he couldn't win on the lucas tour, just that his chances would be much greater with the woo, and I'm sure others will feel the same way, maybe mason zeigler?? I'm hoping to see mr bub McCool back with the woo this year. bub had a great 2015.

locals, regional racers, and outlaws such as the moyers will also probably show up to more woo races this season as their chances are better for a good payday than going up against the lucas regulars. having the talent that they have on the lucas tour this year will probably keep a few racers at home at each of their stops. the talent on the lucas tour is insane.

why do you care what the woo does? are you a racer, no one makes you go.

The LM tour is a trip to the corner store compared to the Sprint car tour. If the Lucas series is so superior why was there all the trash talk about their new rules package a few weeks ago. If you don't like it or think something should be done differently, start your own travelling series. Maybe the NDRL folks could help you.

The rules package damaged their brand. Right now, on paper, it is still the best game in town.

A-S-STone, can you remove the ROCKET from your mouth and try again? Not sure what you are trying to say.

I think it is very important to the sport that WoO is successful. We need at least two touring divisions. Granted, WoO isn't as stacked as Lucas, but they do put on decent paying events and do a good job of promoting them and that helps get the fans out to the track.

The problem is that if Clanton and Richards walk over the rest of the field almost every week and guys like Eckert aren't able to compete the racing isn't going to be as good. As long as the racing is competitive it doesn't matter to me if I'm watching the best of the best. I'll still go to watch a show. I watch minor league baseball and enjoy that. Matter of fact, it may be better if there were two touring series and one was stacked with the top drivers and teams and the other was for younger drivers that need the experience running a national tour or lower budget teams that can't afford the best of everything...much like the lower series in NASCAR.

As I said when I filled out the survey, I'd like to see WoO increase their purses so they could attract more top teams to the series, but if not I don't want them to fold. That would be a loss for the fans and more importantly, for the sport.

And that would be 12, as long as they show up to every race. And nobody ever mentions how much better the WoO point fund is than Lucas'

I have no problems with WoO. I support them whenever they're within driving distance.
