Out family would like to thank John and Collie Kuzman for the past couple of years they have been a blast. After loosing a motor this past Saturday and the continued expense of racing we have decided to call it quits. Our racing plans for the rest of the year are still up in the air. Thanks for everything.

Sadly that is a joke of an idea now, but it really would be possible for a good driver to make a living racing regionally if the costs were not so outrageous. Nobody wants to put limits on these cars so we are going to continue to lose excellent young drivers and top flight teams every year. It just does not make sense.

              Thanks,
              Jeff.

The driver can make make $$, it's the team owner that loses $$$....same in all forms of racing (with maybe the exception of F1 and NASCAR). Both entities seem to win at that level.

The debate over the rising costs of racing is likened to screaming that the building is on fire and simply standing and watching it burn. We are the racers. We are the fans. We are the people in the business of motorsports. It's up to us.

local supers are all but gone,no one will pay a reasonable weekly purse, and to run on the regional level you better be very, very, smart, the national level guys have alot of resources to pull from and with out that help its going to be hard to compete, don't get me wrong, from time to time there will be someone who wins at there local place but to be consistently up front with these guys, its just not going to happen, and with the cost and work, its really starting to out weigh the reward
i don't know the rice brothers but it did look to me that they jumped in with both feet, club 29(not cheap)and top notch engines, and i would think a hauler, that all adds up to a big number

The way it sounds, there was a line drawn, that line was crossed, and the money was pulled. Those boys haven't had the best of luck in the last year or so. We haven't seen the last of them I don't think.

I expect to see Josh in the 2 brothers mod on occasions.

I never understood why they made the trip down south to start off the year.

There's lots of more talented drivers sitting on the sidelines due to the cost of fielding a competitive car. Not the first time it's happened, and won't be the last.
