Moyer caught with illegal transmission after winning heat race at the world 100 and disqualified from the world 100!! Late 80's early 90's! They all try to get away with something.Originally posted by lb_sa View PostReason #1473627 why I've always been a Billy Moyer fan instead of a Scott Bloomquist fan. Both the greatest to ever do it, but you won't find Mr. Smooth involved with this crap.

How bout they quit dorking around with it........make sets of tires race ready.......have a stack of them in every ones pits as they arrive and stfu and race.
If you get caught cheating after that, the series says your dead to me......don't come back....goodbye.
Surely they can produce a series of tires that are race ready in different compounds , question is , financially speaking, do they want to?
And before anyone says it won't work , too expensive etc.......think about what you spend on tire program currently, how far off is it to say that you come to the track now with a bare minimum of 2k worth of tires for the local guys and lord knows what for the unlimited budget guys.
it could be done if they wanted to and it really wouldn't wipe out the local guy that is good enough to run when the series comes in to town.Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

For years, drivers have said they did not want tire doping allowed. Yet they are the ones that keep doing it. What they really meant was they don't want it allowed for anyone but themselves. It's not the series' that are dorking around, if the drivers quit using the crap, there are no disqualifications from it. The problem won't go away until the drivers themselves decide they are done messing with it. You can switch labs or switch the process all you want, but as long as the drivers dope tires and get caught they are going to say they didn't and people on 4m are going to question the enforcers.Originally posted by Barbecueboy View PostHow bout they quit dorking around with it........make sets of tires race ready.......have a stack of them in every ones pits as they arrive and stfu and race.

If that questioning were only limited to the citizenry of 4m then I would say you have a rock solid point.....but it's not just questioned by 4mland so unfortunately it's far from rock solid, and sure getting the drivers to cooperate would certainly help , but it's already been established that they are all cheaters and need to be babysat when it comes to tires.
The answer to all of this lay under the purple roof for race ready stuff or with the stroke of a pen by the series that says open tire rule, cheat on something else now.Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

You of course can back that up with proof, right? You can be sued for making stupid comments like that.Originally posted by oldfart50 View PostYou would trust Hoosier? Really? For years and years they would soak tires for their special guys or even make tires with a different compound stamped with the correct compound. Never trust Hoosier...

if we are still talking about this same stuff 5 years from now, y'all can have it.....
I'll stick to the weekend stuff, they race better most times any dam way.
Nothin better than a full field super street or sportsman race.Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

Samples should be properly maintained (sealed by UMP and the drivers) so that if a driver wants the sample tested in another lab the integrity of the sample is protected for both the series and the driver.
At my work if someone is drug tested you are advised to go to the hospital and get your own test immediately if you are sure your clean just in case. If I was a driver and I really believed I was not cheating I would want a fair opportunity to have an independent lab test it without any chance of the sample being compromised.
