No, didn't watch it, not a fan of people I have no idea who they are, but that's OK, if you enjoyed it fine with me....

Here ya' go muddy, ol' Rr says it like it really is.Originally posted by Raceready View PostOh my gosh ! Racing at its purest form. Just as I thought it was evident that Canaan was going to take the lead it was Rahal at the checkers. You could as the old adage goes " Throw a blanket " on those top 4 that were fiercely contending for the lead. The big thing to remember is that these race cars are built from the ground up for the purpose of being a purebred race machine. The drivers just don't crudely body slam or punt another machine out of the way like the taxi drivers do. parts would be dropping of the cars like flies. It takes a special skill set to compete in these cars.
Couldn't have said it better if I'd have tried. Take a bow Rr, you just made more sense in one paragraph than poor ol' muddy could muster in a complete volume!!
The indisputable point is this. You obviously aren't smart enough and/or race fan enough to be give credit where credit is due but you can't, with any degree of credibility, say the Texas Indy Car race wasn't GREAT racing. As were the last 4 Indy 500's, also. You really can't effectively call yourself a race fan and claim those races weren't racing at it's very best, and without all the gimmicks needed to try to inject some artificial excitement into it. It's exciting and spectacular without the foolish gimmicks. To say that video isn't great racing negates any and all credibility you think you may have.Originally posted by mudslinger47 View PostNo, didn't watch it, not a fan of people I have no idea who they are, but that's OK, if you enjoyed it fine with me....

CIRF, I don't know how to put it any more plain ..... if you like them fine, watch them, I don't care.... why do you care if I don't like your train races? Your like an obsessed little kid.... guess what, I don't have to like your tye of racing and you don't have to like mine.... fair enough?

I fully understand that you are terminally small minded with the intellectual prowess of an anvil as demonstrated by your silly and uninformed insistence that Silver Crown cars are pushed to be started and routinely flip like mud taxi's do. It is painfully obvious you don't have the slightest clue as to what you're talking about, but then again that was clearly established a long time ago.Originally posted by mudslinger47 View PostCIRF, I don't know how to put it any more plain ..... if you like them fine, watch them, I don't care.... why do you care if I don't like your train races? Oh, and I am most definitely obsessed. Obsessed with watching and enjoying great side by side gimmick free racing with lots of passing and without many flips. That pretty much eliminates mud taxi racing. LOL!! And I certainly wish I was a little kid again.
You don't have to like any particular type of racing but you will not be allowed to mindlessly misrepresent and marginalize Indy Car racing as train racing when there is abundant and solid evidence clearly to the contrary. I will call you on it and humiliate you with irrefutable facts each and every single time! So get used to it there skippy. Fair enough? LOLOL!!

Indy car would be alot more appealing if more americans were in the field like 98 percent of the field , by the way CIRF muds works on the cars he likes do you those mud taxis as you call them are alot more technically advanced then a silver crrown would ever be

Technically advanced doesn't necessarily make for entertaining and exciting racing. Mud taxi's are a prime example. There are numerous other examples I could site but the whole verbal exercise would be lost on you.
Preferences are what they are and it's of no particular concern to me but ya' can't make up things that are inherently false and without merit and attempt to pass it off as the truth. In this case I can't figure if it's pure ignorance or if it's a character defect brought on by watching gimmick racing too much! LOL!!

I'm sure it was litey. And I do get it.Originally posted by old fan View PostSome of the best I ve seen has been mod esp like weekend 75 sign in 24 make the main sparks flying never mind you wouldn't get it'
I can go and watch mortifieds within 2 hours of my house 2 nights a week from early May until mid September. Sometimes the mods put on a better show than the cars they're a support class for. No question about that. However, I can only see some other types of racing maybe 4 times a season, at best. Big difference.
But that's not what we're talking about here. What we're talking about here is a misrepresentation and a false characterization of great racing. Can't have that.
Muddy ol' buddy, I get in over my head pretty regular, if'n ya' know what I mean. But that has nothing at all to do with racing. LOL!!Originally posted by mudslinger47 View PostOnce again, CIRF is in over his head...

What exactly is mod mania? Never heard of it.Originally posted by old fan View Posttwo words cirf mod mania try it you will like it it might make you think of mods a little different that crap they run on the mile most of most more talented teams are not at the mile
I don't know how talented the teams are that ran The Horn Memorial at Du Quoin in comparison to other teams and genre's, but what I DO know it was one of the best races we've seen in years. Period. Actually, the last two Horn Memorials were superbly entertaining, right up there with the last 4 Indy 500's and the Texas Indy Car race this year.
However, the Horn Memorial wasn't quite as good as the POWRi A-main at Fairbury this year but it was close.
I'm just curious litey, have you ever been to a race at Springfield, Du Quoin or The Indy Mile? If so when was the last time? Be truthful. I want to see just how much you don't know what you're talking about, again. LOL!!
Litey, I really don't know why I waste my time engaging you in conversation. You'll only come up with some cokamamie bull$hit no one can understand or cares about! LOL!

ARCA consistently puts on a very good race at both Springfield and Du Quoin. I've been going to both places for a very long time.Originally posted by old fan View PostI 'vebeen to springfield and duqouin for usac and and before arca in stocks and the late models and mod years going before UMP quite frankly the racing in any 4 wheel class is not that exciting would like to see the bikes there ,glad tosee the champ cars get a healthy car count and by way I was at the sedialia mile also the champs are good the arca /usac cars not so much keep them 3500 lb tanks on asphalt seen enough of them on video lately to tell you do know that most of the mods on the mile are b mod don't you the real talent for mods during duqoiun are in fairbury
It's actually fun to watch some of the late model guys jump in an ARCA car and try their hand at the full size stock cars. A lot more often than not it doesn't end well for those guys. Bloomy being one of them. Bob Pierce, Steve Kosiski, John Gill, D!ckie Taylor, Terry English and bloomy are just a few that have given the Cup style ARCA stockers a shot on the mile dirt tracks and none of them ever really challenged for the win. For the first time Unzicker actually challenged for the win at both Springfield and Du Quoin this year but couldn't close the deal at either place. It took him a lot of years of getting the Cup style cars on dirt figured out. Just wish he hadn't wrecked Josh Williams this year at Springfield. I actually was pulling for him to win up until that happened.
