It's funny because there's a clip resurfacing from Trump's inauguration where he says he'll sign an executive order to stop government censorship. Guess it doesn't apply to him?Originally posted by lurker View Post
Yes —-- I do see a problem with government censorship, if that is the case.

It was still a politically motivated attack on a person who represents a broader platform.Originally posted by chathamracefan View Post
Outside of her area, no one knew who that was. To equate that to the death of a national figure whose death appears to have been spurred on in part by vitriol coming from the highest political figures on the left seems a bit intellectually dishonest.
There was no "get Hortman" effort going on at a national level. Her death is no less tragic or sad than Kirk's but it is not equivalent in terms of what it signifies, how it has been responded to, etc.
She is still a "democrat".

If any MAGA supporters get confused as to why Democrats call them weird...have a look at this.
During Patel's hearing, Troy Nehls (R-TX) said this:
"Charlie Kirk was a man of faith ... first and foremost, he loved his Lord Jesus, he loved his family. Beautiful wife, beautiful children. Just a remarkable honorable man that was silenced by this assassin's bullet. I would say if Charlie Kirk lived in the biblical times, he would have been the 13th disciple."
13TH DISCIPLE!? WHAT!?
What an embarrassment.

It’ll be harder to display anymore ignorance than you do with your driveby attention whore Trump hate posts. You got me beat by a mile in the ignorance category.

Not really an embarrassment and not really weird by Religious or Christian standards.
Let me explain.
If you went to church or were in touch with Religion you’d know he’s not the first one to say that comment —--- as it’s not uncommon for someone of high regard in the Christian Faith world to be referenced as the 13th Disciple when they are deceased and probably being mourned. Not saying it's right or wrong, just pointing it out as “fact” as you don’t know or didn't understand the reference.
Just explaining it to you. No harm, no foul?

The term "13th disciple" can refer to Matthias, the disciple chosen by the apostles to replace Judas Iscariot after his betrayal of Jesus. It can also refer to any disciple beyond the original 12, including figures likePaul and Mary Magdalene, or even modern-day believers who are called to follow Jesus in a profound and transformative way, embodying the disciples' journey through spiritual growth and faithfulnessLast edited by lurker; 09-18-2025, 03:33 PM.

Not saying you are incorrect or BS’ing —--- but please share to all of us the “said” clip.
I still do not understand why you don't cite source your comments (like the above) in the first place, from the get-go of your postings.
In the future, please cite source all said referenced unverified to the rest of us, comments. Thanks in advance.

Whether Kirk actually expressed true Christian values or just used to justify his hatred for certain people is another story.

As I've explained, I put in more effort to my posts here than anyone else and I don't intend that as a dig but that's just the case. So it's a little bit annoying being told to do stuff like this when it's very easy to find.Originally posted by lurker View Post

To anyone that still isn't convinced that Trump and Co were involved in Kimmel's axing...take a look at this.
Brendan Carr, FCC Chair, practically said as much in a tweet. Someone pointed out that this was part of Project 2025 and Carr seemed to agree. https://x.com/BrendanCarrFCC/status/1968521297974923696
And if you still don't think Trump is connected with Project 2025, take a look at this. It's a Project 2025 tracker. 47% of it is completed and a further 20% is in the works.
A comprehensive, community-driven initiative to track the implementation of Project 2025's policy proposals

My comment to you was not a dig either. I’d just like for you (as you are the one saying the comment) to back up your claim, cited and sourced. You seem to always put the onus on me to find what you are talking about, but the onus is on you, not me.
