And if you still don't think Trump is connected with Project 2025, take a look at this. It's a Project 2025 tracker. 47% of it is completed and a further 20% is in the works.

So you think Kimmel's axing was wrong —-- so to speak. Personally, I think it was a long time in the coming, and whomever saw an opening, and Kimmel therefore got axed. Not sure if Kimmel’s freedom of speech had much to do with the end result. JMHO

My personal opinion is Charlie Kirk had a much broader platform than Hortman. Chathamracefan post stated it correctly IMHO.

There was no "get Hortman" effort going on at a national level. Her death is no less tragic or sad than Kirk's but it is not equivalent in terms of what it signifies, how it has been responded to, etc.

Let's properly analyse this and I hope you read all of this.

Trump said in July, after the to-be axing of Colbert's show, that "Kimmel is next" and "It’s really good to see them go, and I hope I played a major part in it!" https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldT...97600777919524

Kimmel makes the comments on Monday.

Prior to Kimmel's axing, the FCC Chair on Wednesday made the following comments:

"We can do this the easy way or the hard way. These companies can find ways to take action on Kimmel or there is going to be additional work for the FCC ahead,”

“There’s actions that we can take on licensed broadcasters,” Carr went on. “And frankly I think it’s really sort of past the time that a lot of these licensed broadcasters themselves push back on Comcast and Disney and say, ‘Listen, We’re going to preempt, we are not going to run Kimmel anymore until you straighten this out. Because we – we licensed broadcaster – are running the possibility of fines or license revocation from the FCC if we continue to run content that ends up being a pattern of news distortion.’ ”

From there, two major owners of ABC-affiliates said they would pre-empt the show. This next part you're about to read is very important.

"These local media conglomerates are currently seeking mergers that require administration approval – a situation that previously gave Trump leverage to obtain a controversial settlement from Paramount." Think Colbert....CBS...Paramount owns CBS....

Carr then took to X and said that local broadcasters should "push back on Disney programming that they determine falls short of community values.”

Now keep in mind that just a few days ago a Fox News host said we should lethally inject homeless people. "Or involuntary lethal injection, or something," Kilmeade said. "Just kill 'em."

Where was the outrage from Carr?

Trump has cried ratings, but Kimmel leads the late-night 18-49 demographic, which is critical for advertisers.

So you still think the government didn't intervene?

Hortman was representing a very large platform.

If Hortman was MAGA, their supporters would crying that it was an attack on MAGA.

It was an attack on the Democratic platform.

I saw this detailed on a youtube short in the last day. Nonetheless, Kimmel was doomed after Colbert. Right or wrong, it's not up to me or you.

Ok, let's look at some of Charlie's greatest hits!

Charlie Kirk once said, “If I see a Black pilot, I’m going to be like, ‘Boy, I hope he’s qualified.’” https://shorturl.at/PGexM

He once stated "The biggest thing is this: more younger women need to get married at a younger age and start having kids. The single woman issue is one of the biggest issues facing a civilization.” ...implying that a women's only purpose is to have kids. https://www.tiktok.com/@thecharlieki...08531220876590

"If I’m dealing with somebody in customer service who’s a moronic Black woman, I wonder is she there because of her excellence, or is she there because of affirmative action?" https://www.mediamatters.org/charlie...d-engage-great

"Reject feminism. Submit to your husband, Taylor (Swift). You’re not in charge." Probably one of his most disgusting comments but then again that's Christianity for you. https://www.mediamatters.org/charlie...e-ton-children

"We need to have a Nuremberg-style trial for every gender-affirming clinic doctor. We need it immediately." https://www.mediamatters.org/charlie...-clinic-doctor

"If we would have said that Joy Reid and Michelle Obama and Sheila Jackson Lee and Ketanji Brown Jackson were affirmative action picks, we would have been called racists. Now they’re coming out and they’re saying it for us … You do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously. You had to go steal a white person’s slot to go be taken somewhat seriously." https://x.com/patriottakes/status/16...026730496?s=20

And last but certainly not least and certainly not final

“I can't stand empathy. I think empathy is a made-up, New Age term"

You and I both know stupid sh!t like this happens all of the time in government . Right or wrong, it happens.

Here’s one that I don’t agree with —- that will knock your socks off that I’m saying.

I think the USA flag flown at half staff for Charlie Kirk is wrong for a lot of reasons. We as a country have gone way overboard in the last 20 or so years with this. USA flag flown at half staff should only be used for things as Military or Government officials. Not sure what else, but this isn’t one of them.

Yeh I'm not really sure how they can be taken out of context.

It's OK to admit what he said was wrong.

"While our side of the aisle certainly has its crazies, it is a statistical fact that most of the lunatics in American politics today are proud members of the Far Left.” - JD Vance.

Welp, MAGA is wrong again. They just can't stick to actual facts, can they?

A 2024 National Institute of Justice report found that:

Militant, nationalistic, white supremacist violent extremism has increased in the United States. In fact, the number of far-right attacks continues to outpace all other types of terrorism and domestic violent extremism. Since 1990, far-right extremists have committed far more ideologically motivated homicides than far-left or radical Islamist extremists, including 227 events that took more than 520 lives.[1] In this same period, far-left extremists committed 42 ideologically motivated attacks that took 78 lives.[2] A recent threat assessment by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security concluded that domestic violent extremists are an acute threat and highlighted a probability that COVID-19 pandemic-related stressors, long-standing ideological grievances related to immigration, and narratives surrounding electoral fraud will continue to serve as a justification for violent actions.[3]

Oh, and if you're wondering why I've had to use the archive, it's because the White House just deleted it

                              Ty,

Like I told you the other day —-- I’m not a good wordsmith like you or Morgs, and I probably do a poor job at times expressing my sentiments when posting. Thus, I think you and others might misunderstand what I’m trying to convey or communicate. That my friend is totally on me, and I know it. I’ll try this and see how it goes.

Like with both Bush’s, Obama, Trump and so forth in Political figures wise and what they SAY or DO, I see the good in all of them, and I see the bad. I’ll compliment them on the good, and I’ll disagree with them on the bad. Publicly or here on the forum, I'm the same.

In this case, Charlie Kirk, I agree with a lot of his points, and disagree with some of his points. It’s his approach or delivery on what I tend to disagree with what he is trying to say or convince people —- that is where I form my opinion, generally. I don’t form my opinion like you do. We differ on this. I don't necessarily form my opinion based on facts alone. Charlie Kirk is very often misconstrued because of short cherry picked sound bites, and sound bites only —- as is just partial cherry picked quotes, not the full speech or debate. This is where I’ve said “it’s out of context”. I surely don’t expect you to watch or vet everything Charlie Kirk has said, but I always give him the benefit of doubt, then vet his comment the best I can. Then form my opinion on the facts in hand. It’s just the way I am, and I hope you respect that. So “Yes”, I admit some of what you quoted from Charlie Kirk is just wrong.

You and I live in very different worlds, and very different realities. Yours is much more Liberal fact based, mine is more centered, Right leaning, face value based with fact included. You’re not always right, and I certainly am not always right. I like your communication here on 4m, and truly respect your valued voice and the points you bring to the table. Please note that. That is sincere. You stand your ground and don’t waver on your beliefs and I respect that. I know we always are “at each other” in spirit filled challenges trying to change each other's minds, but we both should respect each other's opinion, and let the chips fall where they may. I think that is fair. Realistically, neither one of us are going to change anything in politics and we need to recognize that. It’s good to vent about politics, but we’re not changing a darn thing. If we wanted to change things in Politics, we’d run for some local office in our respective towns.

Charlie Kirk said it best —- "When people stop talking, really bad stuff starts.”
