The cup race in Texas was a snoozer...but the Xfinity race was a barn burner.....the 1.5's just don't seem to get that good....but then you got Bristol baby!!!!! comin' up...

If they'd cover Bristol with dirt and run the Cup race the place would be full again. Run one of the Bristol races on dirt and the other on the concrete.

They turned Bristol into a snooze fest too. They (just like Nascar with the Chase crap) got too greedy. The 4 year waiting list for tickets wasn't enough. So (again, just like Nascar) they "fixed" what wasn't broken a few years ago and added progressive banking. Yeah they ground it down to bring it back to bump and run racing a couple of years ago but it was too late. I've said this before but I'll say it again. When I was in college, I worked at Walmart. They always taught us that it's 10 times easier to keep a current customer, than to attract a new one. Until Nascar figures out that they have to learn to keep its current fans before trying to gain new ones, they are dying a slow death. The absolute only thing keeping them afloat is Dale Jr. Let him retire and in 5 years you wont see a race on National Television.

Yep, before they changed the banking you could always count on several guys getting run over and maybe a grab and push scuffle or two between crew members after the race.

When Bruton made it possible to actually pass without hitting or crashing the guy being passed Bristol became a race.

It just confirms that NASCAR fans like the drama and pissing contests more than seeing who's the best driver driving the fastest racecar.

I personally make no judgments either way but it says a thing or two about what attracts people to a race at Bristol.

I know you won't be surprised, but I like Bristol a ton better now then when you had to wreck someone to pass...contrary to popular belief, wreckin ain't racin

Yeah there's nothing wrong with it other than it is fake scripted entertainment. If you enjoy what you are watching on tv now then I have some swamp land to sell ya Mitty lol..

Mudslinger, I agree that wrecking isn't racing. I also guess I contradicted myself when complaining about Nascar and the Chase treating the drivers like rats in a cage and then complaining about there not being enough action at Bristol haha I was offered free tickets a few weeks ago and turned them down. Ten years ago I would've killed for them.
