Ok so if kill means murder and you kill someone innocently even if it's through war is that still not murder? Just like the death penalty if someone is truly innocent but yet is put to death is that still not murder?Originally posted by 25drtrkr View PostKill means "murder" in that verse! Do you think God would send people to hell because they killed someone in a war, or in self-defense? Most think God is an ogre, waiting to jump on us when we sin! Hes just the opposite. Think of His love, for you and I, just like the endless love you have for your kids, if you are a parent. How much more then, does God love us, because we are his kids, if we have accepted his SON?

Bible is OK with the death penalty, makes it clear. Important thing. According to the Bible there only two kinds of people in this world. Those that repent and choose Christ as their savior and those that choose not too. Until that gets resolved all the judgement business is moot.

I wonder if in the bible it was for those who are truly guilty but, what about those who are truly innocent?Originally posted by TS FAN View PostBible is OK with the death penalty, makes it clear. If she was a true believer, God would forgive her. Since that is legal to do but not moral, God is the judge in those circumstances. Jesus died on the cross for ALL sins, theres nothing you and I can do that he would not forgive!Originally posted by kidrock View PostSo, if King David lost his crown but, yet killed someone what do suppose would happen to a women who got raped and had a abortion but, yet ask forgiveness?Lions don't worry about the opinions of sheep.

old testament law was death for the guilty. Many cases and reasons for it. However, it someone commits a crime worthy of death, they can still repent and call on Christ. Obviously He would know if they meant it. Here is the thing, the person would suffer his or her earthly punishment, which could mean death or a long prison sentence. This actually happens on occasion. The Lord is always ready to receive a truly repentant sinner, though

I agree with that but, still what happened to the ones that are truly innocent. I can honestly say I don't know where I sit on this. I believe in the punishment should fit the crime so, if we can say 100% sure that person was guilty of killing someone they should be put to death but, for those your not sure 100% then no.Originally posted by TS FAN View Postold testament law was death for the guilty. I certainly agree with that. I want to know for sure if someone is guilty. It is unfortunate that any innocent person is put to death, and I am sure there has been too many. I am OK with the Death penalty, but in many cases hard labor might be more harsh. You know?

Pardon my inquiry, but...
Not knocking your post, but how many million people live in Chicago? Are these deaths in Chi-Town from crime or just the total death rate, crime, accidental and natural combined? Just curious so we can go apples to apples.Left 4M and Dirt Late Model racing, 04/12/2016 @12:06AM.

them coward muslims attack gun free zones, even the two attacks on the military gun free zones, most guns are already registered with fbi even the guns involved in the california shooting what they don`t is the private sell of two of them or was they on loan,or stolen, they know the original owner. but the government does not need any more information on the guns, they got what they need.as far as private sale it`s legal.

How can you regulate guns for sale by a private individual? He's already restricted the surveillance laws, which as we all know, was a HUGE mistake!Lions don't worry about the opinions of sheep.

You're a self proclaimed believer, I just find it unfortunate when the Bible tells believers to live peacefully with each other and be forgiving of each other you seem to intent on trying to pick a fight.Originally posted by 25drtrkr View PostCw, all i hear is crickets!.........These so-called self-proclaimed believers won't answer my challenge to debate my pastor! I guess they don't really know the Bible like they claim to!
How do you separate your political views from your religious ones? You dont......if you are a believer, the Holy Spirit is inside you. If your candidate doesn't line up with the word of God, you need a new candidate or vote for the closest one to it! Thats what my pastor teaches, but he's not ashamed to tell us who he votes for, either!
I didn't respond because I found the whole "dare you to debate my preacher" thing silly, ridiculous and unproductive. You just sounded like a little kid on the playground puffing his chest out saying "my dad can beat up your dad!!"
No, I won't be debating your preacher about anything. Suffice it to say if this is the kind of message he is giving his flock, and this is the way he is telling you to present yourself to others, maybe you should be finding another church.
But that's just my opinion. What difference does it make to you what I think anyway? You are still free to go about your business, slam people, put others down, act however you want. I just think there are two tribes of Christians out here, some of whom are all Fired and Brimstone and "you're going to HEEEEELLLLLLLL!!!!!!! YOU NON BELIEVERS!!!!!" and there are others that try to look like Christ.
Christ never forced himself on anyone, never put anyone down for not being with him, always reached out with love and compassion. Even scolded Peter for hacking a guy's ear off in defense of Jesus and healed the guy right there. That's the Christ I follow. Not the bull in a china shop judging everyone, but the Christ that wants to reach as many as possible so that none shall perish.
I just kind of get the impression you really love telling people how wrong they are and they are going to hell, and if you don't like my way of thinking and my brand of Christianity in my Tribe, you best get ready for a fight, cause that's what you are going to get from us.
Which isn't my Christianity. At all.
