I like the chase, four guys (or Girl) going at it for the Cup.... far better then someone wrapping it up in freakin July, and then points racing your way through the season... everyone is equal ...

I don't want equal, I want real winners and real losers, real points, and real awards for winning and real consequences for not winning, And I want them for the season, no pot luck and no lucky dogs.

Each and every race already has the rewards of winning without adding gimmicks.

I think they should play twister for the title..........

The way they bracket pair it down now is ok by me.....it's just all the other crap that comes along with it that I dislike.

But like every other person that likes racing......ill be watching the 500
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

Kyle won five times and won the last race and was rewarded for it with the championship.... How can you say that isn't competitive and deserved?

There are consequences for not winning, your not in the Chase.... lucky dog is for safety... racing back to the yellow is for morons... Only the winners and top two point gatherers can make the Chase...every point you listed is covered by the Chase....like it or not...

Whether there are consequences for not winning depends on what part of the season you aren't winning or even attending. It's mathematically possible to run 15th the first 35 races and win the championship. (Newman and Gordon nearly pulled it off the last two years even though neither deserved to be there) It's also mathematically possible to win the first 35 races and lose the championship. Yes, we know that is not realistically possible, but the fact that it is mathematically possible makes the whole deal a big joke. Kyle Busch's comeback was a feel good story, but he didn't deserve that title. Had he not been beating up on all the little guys in the Busch Series, he wouldn't have been injured. Let's go back to 2002. Sterling Marlin was leading with a few races to go and had to drop out. Stewart went on to win the title. Did Marlin deserve to win the title? He ran just as many races as Kyle did last year. Every race should have the same mathematical impact on the title, and while you are going to say "they all do impact it the same way" you're wrong. There's no way to even calculate how each race affects the outcome as a whole anymore.

Do you think a 10 to 1 bet would reveal that the lone voter for the chase is a Democrat ? Just thinking....

I'd take it Raceready because that 1 vote is probably mudslinger and he is Republican on every issue except Nascar lol I have compared the Chase to the Democratic way of thinking also. "lets reset the points where everybody has another shot"

You could say that, but with all your grousing and panty wadding, the Chase is still here... its still the law of the NASCAR land and it now encompasses all three divisions.... because it did jump to that, that tells me you folks are in the minority... NASCAR does what it does for the money, the Chase must be working dollar wise or they wouldn't bring in the other two premier divisions... because, at the "end of the day" NASCAR is a business...

Minority or not, I'm enjoying the hours of free time gained from no longer being glued to the television set. Haven't watched a lap and don't plan to this year. What's the point until the last ten? All it will be is a bunch of do overs and redos. The winner will be whoever ends up out front for the GWC from the debris / hot dog wrapper caution. The same dozen teams will be in the Chase with a few lucky fill ins.

for me I could really care less about points. I would just like to see more side by side racing more passing. I will say the chase does give it a little more excitement but, they can crown a champion how ever they want.
