The tire rules referenced in the article at the start of this thread (requiring all tires to be purchased from the series the day of the race) will hurt the sport and especially the little guys. Limiting compounds and saving racers time by not allowing grooving and siping will not hurt the sport.
In due time Jeff......in due time......ill find them.

This tire rule might actually help the small teams. You know going in that your gonna buy tires for the world 100, so u buy a set or two and go.

You can cut on a tire an ruin it, cut it to much and it just comes apart. Then your buying another etc.

Maybe the Crown Jewels you do this type of tire rule, then smaller races mandate 2 rightside, or a spec RR.

            Just say no...

Plus, some just about ran the same tired all weekend. I'd like to see everybody, everywhere adopt the no siping/grooving rule. And I bet 99% percent of the drivers would too

I didn't think so before this weekend, but now I agree. We ran the feature on our Thursday night tires, besides a new RR40. And I'll be dammed, they looked great after the 100 lapper.

The pretty little liars club has already spoken on it.......it will kill DLM racing......they are convinced of it.

I read where Brian Ruhlman ran the same 4 tires all 3 days. I bet others did as well. The racing surface on Saturday probably helped.
