Could his name somehow be added on to the Dream, the race he was most dominant at? Something like the "Scott Bloomquist Memorial Dream" or some other play on those words? IMO that would be the most appropriate race to honor Scott's legacy.
I agree. Name the trophy for the Dream winner after Scott. The Bloomquist Memorial Trophy.

This was too good not to share. From the Millard Family Chapel obit. "Never forget the Firecracker 400 at Lernerville, Scott wanted to trade shirts with my father, he said if you win I’ll trade. Scott won and came to collect."

Scott Bloomquist is my all time favorite driver. I enjoyed watching him win so many times, and am wonderiing what happened that he crashed. He is the G.O.A.T. to me.

Sorry to see everyone back under such terrible circumstances. DirtOnDirt does say that a service will be held at Eldora on Dream Saturday and then another at Bulls Gap on 9/12

just realized good ole 4M was back , I hate my first reply is about this , very sad , but I,m gone share this , the first time I saw bloomer run was at talladega short track in the early 90,s , I was just getting started in dirt racing and being a true blue ford man , that is what I choose to run , all my racing buddy's laughed and told me a ford could not be competitive on dirt , well , we were sitting in the stands that day and watched scott nearly lap the entire field with that big ole blue oval on front of his car , cornett power i tkink , anyway the laughing stopped that day , thanks for the memories scott , may you rest in peace ........

I feel fortunate to have gotten to witness most of Bloomquist’s career. Ole Bloomer has now left this world with a bang, and yet again has set the internet on fire. That seems pretty dang fitting to me. Rest in peace Scott, and thank you for all the memories.

A racing acquaintance told me he attended a breakfast gathering of men at a restaurant and it was suggested the crash was not an accident.

Birkhofer and Ferguson said the same thing during the live Flo tribute.

Simpson? I thought Birkhofer came off as a bitter a hole in that. I wish they would have had more Fergy.
