It seems like this only lasted a couple of years or less until Randy himself suddenly died, its why they were called, "Sweet-Bloomquist Cars". Seems like he moved production back to his shop, but it appeared he was trapped in a perfect storm of problems that seemed to impede any forward progress or momentum. Divorce, Surgeries, Leg Numbness, Failed partnerships, Financial woes, Sponsor woes, Age, Controversy, Death of business partner, confidant and friend. From the outside it looked like the hits just kept on coming. Add in some bad decisions and its no wonder the chassis thing struggled to get any serious legs.

    Thanks for the info

He had a good thing with Randy it sounds like.

I sure can't blame him for concentrating on his own program though.

Yeah it's to bad he had some bad luck along the way that sure didn't help. Losing a good friend is hard in itself and then add in everything else it kind explains why the chassis business didn't take off. Sounds like he and Shane had been working on some things, so that might interesting to hear more about.

I will say that he was given the proper send off. Props to his daughter for getting up in front of all of those people and being able to hold it together the way she did. I lost my old man 4yrs ago, and I still don't think I could stand in front of 10 people and do what she did.

I'm glad we went to be a part of it.

I didn't know about the Barry Wright deal, that would've been cool to kinda get the band back together. But it was not to be, but with everything thats come out, Manny Falcon, Barry Wright, Big schedule I have no doubt it was NOT suicide. Obviously I can't know the details but my bet is still a health issue in flight. RIP Scott Bloomquist.

I read that in the article that Kevin Kovac did with Cody Sommers. Yes that would have been interesting as well.

Props to all who organized this & the Big E for hosting. No more fitting place for a service for the man who owned Eldora.

Scott called him after the Dream to ask if he could run his Sweet-Bloomquist car (one of the few left in good condition) at the World. Manny said sure as long as you run the tribute scheme. Scott wanted to fill the scheme with people that have helped him throughout his career. Scott was pretty pumped about it according to Manny.
