I agree, would love to see someone put together a low dollar film setup and follow a team each season and put out content.Originally posted by 84wedge View PostA Netflix crew could follow them for a season and make a heck of a documentary.
I think it would help open the eyes to a lot of the public as to what it really takes to get up and down the road each season.

While it was very informal and not really a full-out production, I always enjoyed the "Speedweeks:Crewman Diary" pieces that DoD used to put out. It was a decent, albeit just a small glimpse, behind-the-scenes real life look at the non-glamorous side of a full-time traveling late model team. Not sure if they're still doing them or not.

Dennis is way more capable than most of these cats. I've seen him win at EB in a Rayburn with Mastersbilt spindlesOriginally posted by 84wedge View PostI was just trying to think of all the drivers that got faster in a Capital. Here's a list.............Modern Day Spec Wedge Racing

But maybe having some help would result in better results? Gotta be a burnout doing it all. Admirable, yes. Averaging about a 15th place finish on a national tour, also yes.Originally posted by foxfire2dirtracing View PostTrying to find some speed again I assume. Got to remember : he is still doing it the old school way -mainly just he/Heather.
How many drivers these days are owners/drivers?
Imagine: getting ready to leave the shop- drivjng the hauler- arriving/unloading at track- working/adjusting during the race night- loading everything back up into the hauler- then getting behind the wheel and driving to next race or back home.
Very, very few do what he does.
So on these thoughts - I definitely admire his determination.
We still need these racers in our sport!!
