Have you not heard the news? We have new responsible Republicans that are trying to cut spending and balance the budget and one running against Mitch too. But please don't mention Obummers Administration and Progressive buddies that are running the debt ceiling clear to the moon. No make sure the blame goes to Republicans. Yes I see your true colors now too!

If you was truly concerned about spending, you would absolutely be against fixed or mobile border enforcement. It does not pay for it's self and is ineffective as they can just go around. It's another Drug war trap. A money pit.

Face it, they come for jobs and education. Remove them and they will stay home. They will even run home before they starve. And if a few food processing plants or corporate farms lose their business, it will pay for shipping and packaging the illegals and anything left can be used to hire border patrol.

We should stop them from coming illegally. We have quotas for immigration. We have had them since the founding fathers started this country. The quotas have periodically been raised every so often. Big business likes more all the time, because it promotes cheap abundant labor. During the late 1800s and early 1900s, Meat packing business used to advertise in Ireland, Germany, Poland, Lithuania and Russia, about how streets where paved in gold and how they could all get rich here, then use them as slave labor. I have news for you, they're still getting exploited. Everyone that works is getting exploited because of them. I know a Racer that worked as a Engineer for a big manufacturer. They now have half price Indian Engineers and he works as a welder, because it pays better. The sad thing is he trained his own replacement.

How the heck are them going to run home when Obummer and the left are advertising for them to come across the borders with promises of Amnesty and "the Freebies"? DO you realize what Obummer and his clones are doing to get these people to come here in droves now? Mexicans radio stations are even broadcasting the invites!!

And the republicans are not calling for hearings about enforcing immigration laws on the books. The amnesty bill will not pass, unless the republican party caves in. I think even some in the democratic party voting against it. Gut feeling tells me, it will pass with bi-partisan support.

This isn't about voters, it's about cheap abundant labor. You just pass a law and enforce it, that confiscates the business that hires illegals.

New estimates show the federal government will spend nearly twice as much fighting global warming this year than on U.S. border security.

The White House reported to House Republicans that there are 18 federal agencies engaged in global warming activities in 2013, funding a wide range of programs, including scientific research, international climate assistance, incentivizing renewable energy technology and subsidies to renewable energy producers. Global warming spending is estimated to cost $22.2 billion this year, and $21.4 billion next year.

At the same time, the federal government will spend nearly $12 billion on customs and border enforcement this year.

Obama’s climate agenda has attracted criticism from congressional Republicans who have been hammering the administration over the accountability and transparency of its global warming efforts.

Lets be honest neither side really cared enough about this problem or they would have done something about it a long time ago. It's great talking points for both sides. There is plenty of blame to go around on this issue. There are plenty of laws on the books as we speak to make a huge dent in the problem if they really wanted to. The issue only comes every time there is a election around the corner.

A lot of the spending priorities don't make sense. We spend toughly half of the yearly budget on defense if you count what goes out of discretionary spending to fight Iraq and Afghanistan. That is more than the next 10 nations spend and we protect 9 of them. We aren't any safer than they are.

How about they way our veterans and the people currently in the military are treated not just by this Administration but, the 40 or 50 years of service by other Administrations.

There isn't enough to pay the soldier after all the military corporate welfare. It is a shame when you spend the amount we do and there are soldiers getting food stamps to supplement their income. If you look outside contractors bid on things like food service, laundry even logistics and they are not required to include the cost of buildings, airplanes, boats and the military does. On top of that any labor involved over seas is under minimum wage standard from India or a country like that. We buy transport planes from France. We buy steel from China, We buy gas from Saudi. If we ever got into a real war, we'd be screwed. To put it bluntly, we are not getting our monies worth.

Your talking about a delay in a couple death benefits during the shut down. Over all the Va is much better today than it ever has been since the 60s, when I first became eligible. As a matter of fact I see improvement since the days of Regan to Bush II. It's been a tradition of this country, the spoils of war go to the rich and the soldiers are cannon fodder.

If you go back and read the Constitution, the original document only provides to have a standing Navy to protect trade.

I do agree to cut off aide to all, Even Israel. It's not our job to be the world cop. Make no mistake, all wars are fought over power or money and most times both.
