Guess what. When people put God first (love the Lord your God with all your heart....) they THEN realize that they are sinful and need what Jesus did on the cross in order to be forgiven. They do NOT condone and rationalize sin (in this case, homosexuality) and continue to live in a way that is an abomination according to God. That's why this is "most important", because IF a person actually does it, the rest will naturally follow.



You got part of it right. He used scripture, but he wasn't passing judgement. He was pointing out God's judgement which is plain to see if you read it. Get the FULL interview and others. He said he loves his fellow man and realizes where he himself came from, so he doesn't judge them.

Stop picking and choosing and using his words out of context.



You obviously only read/hear what you want to hear. Phil has said MANY times exactly that (watch the TBN video in this thread). He was as big a sinner as there is and God turned his life around once he confessed those sins and accepted Christ. He has never once judged these people. He has simply quoted (loosely) scripture that refers to them and their lifestyle.

Another quote from the interview that you apparently chose to ignore.

"We never, ever judge someone on who's going to heaven, hell. That's the Almighty's job," he added. "We just love 'em, give 'em the good news about Jesus, whether they're homosexuals, drunks, terrorists. We let God sort 'em out later, you see what I'm saying?"

So each family member could be subject to a breach of contract claim regardless of what happens to anyone else on the show, no matter what his or her role.

Judgment. Spin it however you want, but he falls into that category of Christian who wants to spread his arms like Christ and proclaim things as though they were given to him to bestow upon the rest of us. It just looks arrogant and pious and holier than thou to me. I don't see God in him, I see him elevating himself to being God's chosen one to tell us all how it is and what is wrong with everyone else.

Looks like Twitter also likes to control what is allowed of freedom of speech and opinions also. Can't we not put two and two, together, on the lefts agendas in this country???


Twitter has blocked users from linking to a website supporting Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson after his scathing remarks about homosexuality last week.

The site iStandwithPhil.com has been flagged, which means tweets containing links to the page are prohibited.

The action is the latest development in the ongoing war surrounding Robertson’s comments in the January 2014 issue of GQ Magazine, which saw him immediately dumped from the hit A&E show.

The website, run by the organization Faith Driven Consumer, is petitioning A&E to reinstate Robertson and formally apologize to his family and his fans for removing him from future filming. It has collected more than 202,868 signatures since Friday, storming past its goal of 200,000.

The Christian group complained that Twitter has blocked users from tweeting about the petition and that the move ‘marks at least the third major shutdown of a pro-Phil Robertson social media account since the story broke days ago.’


Twitter wouldn’t comment about why the site has been flagged though it generally only takes such action if it has received complaints.

‘We’re called to follow God’s word, and (Phil) just simply recited God’s word,’ Faith Driven Consumer’s Chris Stone told Hollywood Reporter.


‘Anyone who tries to censor that or to exclude that is doing the exact same things that they are claiming is happening to them. It’s censorship. It’s intolerance. It’s discrimination. All we are asking for on behalf of Phil is that he be allowed to freely express his religious views, and those views are not far out on the fringe. They really are in the mainstream of American culture and world culture. This goes back thousands of years.’

Meanwhile, a Facebook page called ‘Boycott A&E Until Phil Robertson Is Put Back on Duck Dynasty’ has garnered more than 1.7 million likes and another called ‘Boycott A&E and Support Phil Robertson’ has more than 15,000 likes.

This is an anti-discrimination (ironically, the gays claim Phil was being discriminatory toward them....how, I have no idea). Federal law says you cannot fire someone for their religious beliefs. I assume no contract can trump federal law.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens from here because, they have not actually fired him yet so, I would assume no law has been broken.

Its pretty much al over...Twitter has appoligised for there screw-up as has facebook I believe. A&E has said they weren't going to fire Phil, who really knows, but I suspect that they didn't get the reaction they were expecting from America when they did what they did. Even people that disagree with Robertson's opinion were unhappy about A&E's decission. Even Cracker Barrel revearsed thier deccision, I however won't frequent the place anyway...Its obvious that they are spine free.

One other point, how is what Phil said described as hate speach and the words spoke by GLADD not? GLADD was clearly hateful.... but no one mentions that.....amazing.

If I were Duck Dynasty I would be looking for somewhere else to go anyway.

I still don't buy anything at Casey's General store since 9/11, when they raised the gas prices sky high, immediately after the attacks that morning. I won't either until they give me that 12 gallons they cheated me out of that day. It happens in a instant and the repercussions go on forever.

I agree with the Casey's General store boycott .they showed just how fast they would screw the customer in a time of confusion. I hope the gay rights supporters in Hollywood noticed the back lash from the straight American's. I'm sick of the people calling this a left issue most of us do not approve of gay bull sh it either and it's on both sides.

It is almost always a left issue. Check out who owns A & E, if they were not leftists, I would sure point it out, but it almost never is the case.
