Which means, if you want a Christian display on public land, you also must allow other types the same ability to participate whether you like it or not.

Fair enough on that, but read post above and see if you still feel this way. Just curious.
Tony, there isn't anything that you can post or say that can shake my faith in the Lord.
I'm not sure what your trying to prove or disprove, maybe yourself, but all in all, your wasting your time. A believer is just that, a believer. If your not, thats fine and if you wish we'll pray for ya, if not fine.

I am not ascribing anything at all, I am describing the founding of our country. I believe the Mayflower compact was the first "agreement" to get things going here in the new world, the thing starts out with "In the name of God, AMEN" Say what you will, that sounds pretty Christian to me.

As you noted, 2:18, indicates that Adam was alone and thus, the animals where initially created as his helper in 2:19 AFTER he was already here. Plus, 2:20 notes animals 'was not an help meet for him,' further showing they were created after he was in chapter 2.

However, this contradicts 1:20-1:22 as some animals were created on day five. Then, other animals and humankind being created on day 6 in 1:26.

Also, my King James version of the Holy Bible, and others found via the web, do not contain the word COMPARABLE in passage 2:18. Not sure where you found that addition of that verbiage.

      http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/...18&version=NIV http://bible.cc/genesis/2-18.htm https://www.biblestudytools.com/gene...enesis+2:18-25

So I ask again for a concession that the book is not perfect as written because man is imperfect and a human hand wrote it. If you cannot do such, see the text of what you wrote 2:18 as containing and those provided via weblink, then reconsider.
My simple response of "animals before man" was an answer to the question you posed.

"Comparable", "suitable", "like", whatever you want to say, it all means the same thing (refers to woman) and does not refute my rebuttal. I'll let you know what Bible translation it is from when I get back home if you want.

You actually help make my argument with your link.

      This is from YOUR link:
I will make a helper suitable for him." 19 Now the Lord God **HAD** formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air.

Notice the "HAD formed". Thus, animals BEFORE man. Again, you refuse to acknowledge that the second chapter is a review or repetition of creation's events, with an emphasis on the creation of man and woman. It does not conflict with chapter one.

The Bible with the word "comparable" in it is:
        The New King James Version
        Red Letter Edition
        The New Open Bible
        Study Edition

Just trying to make all of us think about why we believe, pro or con, the way we do. I appreciate the fact I cannot shake your faith and I find it unfortunate this is what you thought. I do thank you for the kindness of loving your brother even if they may be different and are willing to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Not sure about the 'ascribing' comment. But, the last time I checked, the Mayflower Compact is not a document creating our current system of govt. As I pointed out, the narrator never says 'founding fathers' he uses 'fore fathers.' So in this respect, the Pilgrims and their documents would have some influence in a governmental system up until 1781 when the Articles of Confederation were ratified or 1788 when the Constitution was ratified and replaced the Articles.

I like your thought on this and it is the most intelligent interpretation I have seen to date. I can now better understand how the second may be a recap of the first. Well done, but I will simplify what I am trying to portray using the second weblink.

              Holman Christian Standard Bible (©2009)
Then the LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper as his complement."

              International Standard Version (©2012)
Later, the LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make the woman to be an authority corresponding to him."

              King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

All three of these statements are written differently. Thus, they were edited by man and being different from one another they are imperfectly written. Do they say similar things, sure but in an edited way. There are other examples of differences in verses, such as the resurrection stories. However, this will be my last post for a while as I have family matters to attend to. I truly wish y'all well and look forward to future discussions.

I appreciate your mature way of debating. You are a delightful contrast to Bushee and t.nie, who seem to have to start name calling and denigrating others as soon as a counter point is made.

Apparently, somewhere along the line, you missed the New Covenant... And they, the Pharisees and Sadducee's wanted to kill him and eventually got the job done, but not before the Prophecy was fulfilled. And you, just as they, are fulfilling Prophecy.

What other books tell the story of the Son of God being sent to earth to live a sinless life and die for the sins of the world as the ultimate sacrifice? I'm curious what other god has done such a thing.

To answer your question, there is only one TRUE God.
