Jimmy Carter-Not a Washington insider, he was more at home with real people dealing with real problems. Got shat upon by the right wing hate machine in Washington long before it was widely known that the Right Wing had a Hate Machine. Was probably the first President of the US to face Republicans more intent on destroying the nation to destroy him rather than actually doing squat to fix anything. Our first experience in Party over Nation policies.
Reagan-The ultimate two faced politician, Ronnie was great one on one at glad-handing and back slapping, only to turn out to be the dumbest box of rocks to ever sit in the White House. His ultimate skill lay in being a great actor after all, and his finest performance was selling the nation a great big fat one with Trickle Down Bullshyt Economics. Presided over the greatest transfer of wealth out of business and into private hands on record, his legacy of blaming poor people for being poor and coddling and pampering the wealthy continues to this day.
Bush I. Who cares? Idiot rode Ronnie's flapping coat tails into the White House and while no one could every really finger Ronnie as Ronnie was too slick to actually say or do anything that would hold him accountable, Bush I was stupid enough to actually get himself cornered. Quickly in, and just as quickly forgotten, he did sire a son who would eventually sink the ship for good and leave the minions to bail his Wall St buddies out.
Clinton. Right wingers will forever hate Clinton because he actually did some good for the nation by using their failed policies, tweaking them so as not to just favor the rich, and make something useful for everyone out of them. Unfortunately Clinton was a die-hard man and his passion will be all the haters remember him for. Of course he faced all the modern era hate and malice and lies and gossip enabled by the internet he supported and that rose during his presidency, but while the Reagans and Bush's of the world wandered off into oblivion and disregard after they left office, Clinton is still very much respected and active in multiple endeavors and still commands a large audience and attention for his insight wherever he goes. While Bush paints by numbers, Clinton travels the world still exerting influence even without the office of the Presidency.
Bush II. Try, fail, repeat. Drunken frat boy with a documented history of failure elected to the Presidency after much love, help and backroom shenanigans from his brother in Florida. When all else fails, try to impress your daddy blowing $10 trillion trying to kill the man who "tried to shoot yer pa" leaving the nation you didn't give a rats behind about devastated in your wake. But good job, because you gave the modern hate machine 150 million reasons to hate your successor, because you will always be known as the man who performed so badly the nation could not wait to elect a black man to replace you. And that will forever piss of your right wing bigoted haters who LOVED you...
Obama. Maligned, hated, reviled by the right wingers, the first black president in history. Of course, if he mentions the word "black" or "race" or "discrimination" he is automatically accused of "playing the race card." So he could basically say "the black horse at Churchill Downs is running in the 5th race" and his haters would scream fanatically "he's always got to make EVERYTHING about his skin color and DISCRIMINATION!!!!' Thus is the lot of our first black president, he will always be wrong no matter what, even if the question is "what's your favorite food." If he says pizza, he will be accused or racism. If he says ice cream, he will be accused of racism. If he says I don't have one, he will be accused of avoiding the question of race. This is the level of ignorance and stupidity of 18% of our nation. But never mind, the right wing haters are making a fortune of selling hatred of him, so he's at least good for business to the right wing hate machine.
