Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but when that insurance policy you pay for dumps you on public aid and into bankruptcy, YOUR bad decision and the insurance companies profiteering at everyone else's expense becomes MY business, since I'M the person footing the bill for it.

I would be interested in how you get health care to uninsured with out government interference? Just remember the Hippocratic oath and Reagan law that makes it illegal to turn anyone away from the ER. If there are so many, give us two or three.Originally posted by dirtisforracin View PostIts CRAP in your eyes and goverments eyes. The educated people are ready are paying for want the want. You dont know whats good for ME, Clayton, and so on! You are infringing your believes on ME! I could give a dam about your choices in life, and as long as your choices dont affect me I could give a rats A--! You and the President force this piece of crap down the throats of us that dont want it, is BS. Mind your own dam business, I will mind mine.
They were so many other ways to cover the uninsured without the goverments interference, but this is about CONTROL period.

Interesting point. That seems to have been the glaring hole in the right's arguments over all this.... "Repeal Obamacare it's going to destroy the nation"... But NO proposals to cover the uninsured. And certainly none that would not rely solely on taxpayer dollars to pay for care.Originally posted by Bubstr View PostI would be interested in how you get health care to uninsured with out government interference? Guess the right wingers were happy to be spending other people's money on health care for the uninsured. The problem with spending other people's money though, is when they can no longer afford you.

Since the so called president told us on TV that your health care plans are crappy tnie runs with it like it's gospel. lolOriginally posted by dirtisforracin View PostIts CRAP in your eyes and goverments eyes. The real truth is the the ACA plans are in FACT more expensive to much much more expensive than present coverages are. In fact most levels of the ACA plans have extremely high deductables to boot. And coverage thrown in that is totally useless to many of the policy holders. You pay for it anyway.
Unaffordable Care Act is just a government takeover. Why tnie believes that this attempt by progressives to take over this nation is in fact just and good is totally beyond belief. This guy is a programmed, brainwashes robot!
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in a statement that the exchanges are creating more competition and lowering costs for health care. However, the MacIver News Service reported recently that premium costs are expected to increase in Wisconsin by 51 percent. (This is one of many, too numerous to post examples of the reality of this corrupt law.)
People are scared to death to sign up for ACA, and rightly so. It is horrible law, (and crappy too lol) passed by Progressives in government and the back door deals and promises that it took to impose it against the will of the people.Last edited by Clayton_Wetter; 11-15-2013, 02:14 PM.

I'm well aware of the Middle of the road T.nie says he is. You all want socialized medical care. Be trueful. Who's to say insurance companies wont do that anyway! Bubstr. Many ways to bring down cost. Interstate comm. able to buy health insurance across state lines, Tort reform, community health care centers that provide low cost health care,( btw already done every heard of Shiners Hospitals?) Health savings accounts to name a few. This is so great what is a person to do with a 5,000 dollar deductable? Just where are people going to come up with that money. Hospitals are already concerned with decuctable and being able to recieve that money.

Meanwhile in the actual world of reality and getting back to the discussion at hand:
Obama and Democrats are on the run. They are panicked and in disarray over the collapse and fallout of ObamaCare. With approval ratings in free-fall, now is the time for patriots to hold the President's feet to the fire -- to make him and his fellow Democrats own this fiasco and demand it be CANCELLED.

Ah, haven't logged in for 9-10 months and can see not much is different 'round here.
IMO, it was not a direct lie as much as he did not place enough nuance in his argument.
That said, for those who wish to repeal and replace, what would you replace it with? The old system we had? You do know that places us at #34 in infant mortality right? So what health care or wellness care system do we repeal and replace the ACA with that allows us to say, "We're #1!" or at least modifying things to get there?

Replace it with being allowed to buy across state lines. Tort reform. Yes goverment assistance for those who are uninsured, but dont change the whole system. We are 34th in world because we attempt to save many more premature births then most other countries do and care to do. What is our survival rate ratings of premature births? If america's health care is so poor, why do so many from around the world come here to recieve it?
Sorry He LIED, and knew it. IF you like your insurance, you can keep it, PERIOD!

Looking back on Presidents dating back 35+ years it's kinda' interesting as to their legacy.
Jimmy Carter-The most incompetent bumbling President in the 20th Century whose crowning achievement was to give away the Panama Canal after countless Americans died and copious amounts of tax payer money ended up being squandered in the end just to keep some 3rd world no count country happy.
Ronald Reagan-Cleaned up the mess that carter left and brought inflation under control and restored confidence in The United States, gave a whole bunch of illegal aliens amnesty and effectively ended the cold war but really didn't put the country on a trajectory towards fiscal discipline.
George H. W. Bush-An honorable, honest man who stuck his foot in his mouth big time but, again, never put the country on a path of fiscal responsibility. His having to go back on his word gave us little billy clinton.
Bill Clinton-Road the economic wave that had been set into motion by Reagan and ended up with the first budgetary surplus since before anyone could remember. But still no fiscal discipline set in place. His crowning achievement was getting blow jobs from chubby White House interns in the Oval Office while on the phone with political leaders of his own party. He was impeached in The House but acquitted in the Senate due to lack of votes for conviction. He was twice a rapist who was twice elected president. In the end his presidency had to be saved by his wife agreeing to stay with him in name only mostly for her own political ambitions. His most loyal constituency was ironically women. Those same women, if given a chance, would have been used or worse by clinton. Just ask Juanita Broaddrick.
George W. Bush-By all accounts a decent human being who was dealt a tough hand early in his Presidency then made it worse by his willingness to believe erroneous intelligence regarding Iraq's weapons inventory. His ability to keep the economy from collapsing and actually prospering following 9-11 was soundly negated by the unpopularity of the Iraq war and his unwillingness to reign in Wall Street towards the end of his second term. He did very little good in his second term and willingly added substantially to the national debt and probably set back his party decades through his unpopularity, to a great extent deservedly so. He did not, however, deserve the vicious vitriol and unfettered bitterness heaped upon him by the left leaning media, Hollywood personalities, and the crazy left wing extremists faction of the Democratic party.
That brings us to B. Hussein Obama-An over educated bugger eating moron who has neither common sense or cautionary logic. He was voted in, twice by the least informed electorate in the history of the Republic just because he was the closest thing to a rap star they were able to vote for. He made his political bones worshiping at the alter of chitcago politics. He learned well the "chitcago way". You make certain that you maintain plausible deniability at all times on all problems and scandals. For those of us who understand chitcago politics it's a common and recurring theme. He has put us in a national financial position that we probably will never recover from. I'm rather certain he won't have his face on Mt. Rushmore, but then again neither will the previous 5 President's. It is unclear at this time if hussein's presidency will be looked upon with as much humor and disdain as carter's or the latter Bush but it'l be very close.
With a lineup like that over the past 35 or so years what would make an educated person believe this latest contrived bureaucracy will be the least bit successful or cost effective? All evidence to the contrary.Last edited by CIRF; 11-19-2013, 12:46 PM.

I'm curious as to how you think the ACA will improve the infant mortality rate? For that matter, how is it going to improve anything? Supposedly more people "covered", but with LESS doctors to treat the increase in insured. How's that work to improve healthcare?Originally posted by anthonycacace View PostAh, haven't logged in for 9-10 months and can see not much is different 'round here.
