Those plans were discontinued, because the did not meet ACA standards. Now they can have them back for a yr, then gone again after mid term elections. What about the IRS and tea party bubstr. It should scare the heck out of you. It should have scared you a long time ago, as similar executive powers have grown to the point, we don.t need a Congress. Presidents now can persecute you for your politics, when it used to be, we needed congress with people like Joe McCarthy to do it. Presidents can now declare war, that used to be a congressional job also. The Patriot act gave your right to a fair trial away, it even gave everyone's freedom and privacy away at the presidents whim.
J Kennedy was ahead of his time and the War Powers Act when he circumvented authority on the bay of pigs deal. Our Congress has sold our farm whether or not we wanted to jeep it or not. It is wrong, It has been wrong whether its a democrat or republican president. If you don't like it change it. Stop reelecting any that don't introduce bills to take those powers back into our hands.

That being said, there is a bill in the wings of the house to allow your plan. should be on the floor any day now. It will be interesting. If it's a D bill, it will probably put the blame on Insurance companies if they don't offer your plan. If it's a R bill, it will want to dismantle the whole ACA bill. Which is going to screw the people either way. If they don't put that bill on the floor, and you can be sure it was for the purpose of not infringing on the insurance companies to make big profits from this and blame the other side of the isle. Heaven forbid they shut off any campaign contributions. Both sides get it, the only ones that don't get it are the Sheeple.

The proposal by the President says you can keep your crap good for nothing plan for another year, provided 1-The insurance company selling it to you tells you the truth about what you are paying for (nothing worth paying for) and 2-the insurance company gives you your alternatives through the exchanges.

I like it. Educate people on what they are paying for. Most people, not all, will think with their wallet and not their ideology and even if they HATE OBAMA, they will realize they should pay some more and get a decent plan that covers something, instead of a piece of paper with the words "Health Insurance Policy" written on it that pays for next to nothing.

These insurance companies are selling the Health Insurance equivalent of aftermarket Auto Warranties. Sure, you can buy one, but you best read the fine print and hope you never actually need it.
